It looks like a good neutral rug. I would bring on color with throws and pillows then you can change the colors you wish to incorporate Each season easily with a neutral slate.

IMO some bold graphic pillows on the sectional would help anchor the seating area.

Some bold art if there are walls for something this large would also be good.

I like the rug, but would be looking to bring in some color via artwork that is chosen because you love it -- not necessarily because it "matches" any of the other elements in the room.

Wow thanks! Yes it’s completely overwhelming. It’s actually a ruggable, so you can just pick it up and throw it in the washer if it gets anything in it. I will add though, it’s really flat and not at all soft! Lol. A small price to pay in a home with kids though.
