I need to have more info. What kind of store , are you in a mall or street entry . Off the top of my head I would say vinyl plank in the same look as the counter to keep things simple or a tile look vinyl

I have a computer store. In my previous location I had gray wood laminate flooring. Do you think gray could go with butcher block?

No IMO but it really depends on how the whole store looks.

My previous counter looked like this

Butcher block is natural wood tones = soft yellow, gold, amber, caramel, etc. Gray CLASHES heavily with these tones.

One of the nicest matches to butcher block = natural wood tones. You can do the cabinetry a sleek black or silver or white or something that makes you happy and then have floors that work nicely with the butcher block.

As sleek as your old situation looked, it is visually very difficult to look at. The floors 'disappear' into the cabinets and the cabinets disappear into the wall and then the counters look like they are 'floating' in a sea of 'flooring'. It can be disorienting.

A crisp delineation of the cabinets from the counter top (and the flooring) is a handsome, sleek, modern way of doing things. You don't have to wrap the cabinets in flooring to get it to look cohesive. Just complimenting the counters with the flooring will do what you want.
