My husband is in his 80's and has become unsteady when he walks. I worry about him falling on our ceramic tile floor which is installed on concrete. I would like a floor that is softer and yet has a study wear coat that his service dogs toe nails cannot damage. I prefer that the floor can be installed over the ceramic tiles to keep the mess to a minimum. (wide planks would be nice) --- Would also appreciate something made in the US.
