Hello - I am looking for some help with my living room. The front door opens with the living room to the right, totally exposed, and a coat closet directly across the door. I have a couple questions...

1) Is the furniture below to exposed to the front door? Meaning the back of furniture is not separating the areas

2) Is it worth looking into combining both closets and removing the coat closet and putting up a wall to create a foyer area? Or at least add a half wall/ bench area?

I don't think there is a defined area when you enter and if you get several coming in from the elements there isn't a "spot" to congregate while taking off shoes/ jackets.
