I would wait to decide until you choose your chairs. You have all kinds of rug options, but the color of the chairs will have a big impact on what rug looks best. You may end up with black chairs, or upholstered navy, or something else.

I like the first rug best. The second one pictured in your post seems a little "dated" and the third rug in your post doesn't have enough contrast with the table.

@calidesign Good point!! The problem is we have cream upholstered chair that are absolutely destroyed by our kids, we're going to keep using them until we find new chairs that we love. :)

If it were me, I’d be sure before selectIng. So many decisions in a room are coordinated around a rug.
