Too late to move large cultivars?

Zone 5b, Chicago area. It's not that it's a big clump, but a large growing cultivar - Sum and Substance. Its only about 4 years old and has 4 eyes.
I've found a much better location for this hosta.
I'm not asking HOW to do it: just if a large one is more likely to be negatively impacted this late in the season. I don't want to risk killing it. It is showing no signs of going dormant yet.
Should I wait til then? Or do it in spring? (When there never seems to be enough time).
I've moved plenty of smaller ones this week : just not large cultivars.
The other one I want to move is Big Daddy. Not as large a cultivar. Again, about 4 years old, 3 eyes. Thanks!
