What to do about Plantaginea?

Many of you know I have a few hostas that have re-bloomed or bloomed late. Wide Brim and Vulcan have flower that did open.

I am waiting for Plantaginea to bloom...... I can see the white of the flower pod between the leaves......problem is we are expecting frost on Thursday, sooooo ==>>do I just cover it and hop it will be ok and eventually bloom outside? Or do I cut the flower and place it in sugar water in the house hoping that will force a bloom? What recommendactions do you have???
