Defining beauty......your own definition.

Let me begin by saying I'm having one of those weeks. Sources dying ( literally !! and far too young ) a rather grizzly rainy day. People making mistakes; big ones ! A seeming tail chase all week and I have yet to catch the tail

But then Amazon comes to my door. I forgot I even ordered the book. If, like me, you often yearn (despite all the trends lovely, and whatever your style may be ) for a time when just plain PRETTY seemed not a mortal sin? For those who recall that time? Get his new book:

This is why I say forget the trends and just do you. Make it pretty....for you. Use the things you love; you'll find the perfect place for them. I'm so tired of the sterile white/gray sleek rooms that look like an operating room where no one actually lives.

Yeah. Why not? It always annoys the “heck” out of me when I see some easy little thing someone could do to make a room or a yard more visually pleasing, but they don’t do it.

I can appreciate all kinds of beauty. Humble or grand, it doesn’t really matter. You just need an eye. Even imperfection doesn’t bother me if the overall result is “pretty”.

Funny...my mantra has always been...”appreciate the imperfections”...since i always start with “something old” for every project....kitchen cabinets made from antique buffets.....kitchen island with an ancient carved cabinet from an old hotel foyer....clever shelving from an old dining tabletop....so i guess beauty is anything that makes me smile...is different...and is a second life for something worth saving...and last but not least...my husband who is beautiful inside AND out

Well I was all pumped up for the book but Amazon says it’s not available until October 23.
