I really want to find a happy medium for the both of us in the office and game room. I want to be able to add fun, but also still be a bit more grown up in how we display things. I saw this and thought it was great! I think I'll need to get him to let me display things outside of their original boxes. Anyone else have any thoughts or ideas? Or even things they have done in their own homes? Would love to see some solutions.

Thank you all for your ideas. Unfortunately, I cant flip the sectional off the window (float it) because it closes off the entrance to and from the dinette area. If I pull the couch off of the window wall, it blocks part of the fireplace. Then, if I pull the love seat out of the corner and make it perpendicular with the sectional, I have additional amounts of empty space to work with where the family room ends and the play room begins..... I think Im just going to get a small console/buffet and a decent size salt water fish tank that my husband's been thinking about.... Nancy- the rug is that size because I had a large corner tv console in that "empty" corner up until 3 days ago- so the rug kept the whole space cohesive/as one space. Once the kids get out of the 'destroy everything phase,' Ill be looking into new couches where I can open up the window wall and bring my nice large coffee table back.

I like the white bedding and curtains, and you might keep all this for the spring/summer. I would suggest you get a turquoise throw or turquoise coverlet to put over the white bedding, provided you can find one that does not look too feminine. I do like your idea about grey sheets and accessories, and a grey bedspread with some white border stripes would look fantastic. Since turquoise is your main accent color, as in the lamp, it would be great if you could find a large piece of art work that includes most of the colors in the room. Do you like beach prints, western prints, or landscape scenes? I believe you will find your room colors in these subjects of artwork. I would suggest having a large print placed in a frame that is painted white with a bit of grey wash or shading on the frame and then displaying it above the headboard.

My husband and I have placed our wedding photos in our bedroom, as this is also a significant place for us. It's a good idea to fall asleep and see happy moments captured on camera, and Wake up and see us where we're still only six months into a relationship-young and a little silly. Since the theme of our wedding and wedding photo shoot was Disneyland, we invited disney world photographer. Our photos are a little naive, but they perfectly convey the atmosphere of joy and love on such an important day for both of us.
