Could you share the brand and color of the stain you chose?

Elizabeth, Your design choices for this home are timeless and stunning! There are surprising elements I never would have thought to put together that beautifully blend the more rustic elements with some very refined finishes beautifully!

I’m adding custom milled tongue and groove knotty pine paneling, shiplap and cove siding to a terribly bland 1960’s space that is void of any character or detail. Additionally I’m adding some Salvaged Antique Architectural Elements, Adirondack Rustic Details and other Facebook Marketplace Finds that Ive been struggling to tie together. Now thanks to seeing your work on this house I have the inspiration to bring all those diverse things I love together.

Did you use the same stain throughout the entire home? It has the vintage feel I love with a more brownish undertone rather than that orangey hue that is tough to work with-

Thanks again...
Ray

Thanks for your kind words. I had a custom blended stain color made - loads of different samples until we found that warm brown that wasn't too orange. It was a Zarr stain and yes, we used it throughout the home, floors & trim. Best of luck with your project!

You are welcome and thank you-

I didn’t realize at first that this project was actually your home. It’s truly spectacular, I’m glad you get to actually enjoy all of that hard work!

I’m usually pretty good at identifying stain colors and I didn’t recognize what you had used as anything familiar.

From time to time I’ve gone the custom blend Route as well- Would you by chance remember what colors you started with to save me a little bit of the trial and error process?

You really hot my style perfectly with your home. Again, congrats on using your skills to achieve what I see as the prefect home.
