The one gallon watering can.

Granular:

The 8 oz. cup ( with handle) used as a scoop to retrieve granular product from its bag, and apply to soil.

The one gallon watering can can also be used half filled, to reduce load further.

So I tried this since my local Kroger had it on sale. I was skeptical since the N P K numbers are very low on it but the roses have loved it. All you have to do is pump some at the base of every plant and then water them or do it before it rains.

Watering can handle should be ergonomically designed. Many are not, and thus carrying or watering may strain muscles and tendons.

I use the spray attachment for Miracle Grow. I have had mine for over a decade, so when I looked it up I see they changed the design since I bought mine. This feeder is partly why they color their food blue so you can easily see if food is left in the feeder. You know it’s gone when it’s clear.

I also use my watering can for special mixes of Mg-sulfate and chelated iron with the fertilizer. I love this one made in England.

I use this cart (similar brand). I mix the fish emulsion with water in it, then wheel it around and use a small can to get the fish emulsion from the cart and pour it over the roses. Helen

I make a very concentrated solution (For Mills Easy Feed, 4x the recommended rate), then only give each rose 1 -2 cups, depending on the size of the plant. I’ll water the plant thoroughly afterward.

thanks folks but it isn’t the lifting of a 2 gal can but the up a d down and the tediousness of doing it for 80 roses @ 1-2 gals-per plant. The Dr. Earth sounds interesting as an alternative ,wish I did not love my existing products so much. I use Myco Chum and Mills Easy Feed and love the results (whenever I pour it on) as supplements

Helen doesn’t the liquid splash out of the muck cart as it rolls about? I like the lookof iIt, fear it would get clumsy or heavy full of water bumping over the my ground.... Interesting option.

I use a hose end sprayer. If it’s getting clogged I would suggest diluting the solution and then increasing the amount per gallon you spray.

Which brand?. in the past it was leaking that gave the biggest problem,.

I got it at Home Depot; I’ve used the Chameleon and the Chapin and they were ok.

Out of curiosity, I checked Home Depot’s website and their top rated hose sprayer is “Ortho Dial N Spray” with 4 stars, “Chameleon” got 3 and “Chapin” only 2 stars.
