My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Stay with wood or paint?

I have a chalet style home out in the woodsy, water adjacent country with great wood beams, wood floors, wood stairs and currently an oak kitchen. I am decorating the house in a relaxed beachy style. The question is: do I stick with oak cabinets and do a butcher block countertop? Or paint? Bear in mind, sleek and stylish won't work here. What do you think?

    The decision? I opted for paint. Benjamin Moore's Navajo White in Advance formula for cabinets. We love the new, brighter, country look. And look how it makes the butcher block counters pop!
