The finish you have is older and has changed color with time. The new finish on new doors will not match exactly. It may be close enough when you look at the old frames and new doors Try ordering a new door and replacing an old door with it. See if you like it just fine or if it bothers you every single day.

I think since the new cabinets would be the island, and the bar area across the room if there’s minor differences i would be okay with a close match... new cabinets would not be adjacent or sharing a wall with the existing.

why the need to match? pick intentional different finish completely...painted...dark stained cherry...many things would be great. Allow counter to be unifying element..keep same on all surfaces. Shop new counter to get a few ideas first..... then what you find will help you find a contrasting finish for new segment.

It will be one room (about 20’ across and 10’ for the kitchen part). It will be a shared space with living and dining. I think diff bar would look strange with the more traditional finishes. I’d like it all to be uniform, even with new countertops (doing something light with warm veining- like taj majhalquartzite).

Traditional actually plays the best w differing finishes at logical “breaks” in segments . But certainly pursue what you wish per preferences.

Islands and pantries are great spots to add accent colour into a kitchen! I would pair it with a solid, warm colour that compliments the wood grain if you cannot match it to your existing style.

Since the door and the stain are both discontinued, there is now way to match what you have. 2 color kitchens are wonderful - try to focus on something that would be a great compliment and have a designer put it into the design program for you to see.

A really dark stain could look great with those cabinets or a nice warm white.

Take one of your doors and look at other finishes and actually other companied for that matter.

Aw I don’t think they’ll look good painted in the cracks etc with temperature changes?

I will have 3’young kids and not confident painted cabinets would look good/hold up for the long haul?

If we can’t match we might keep same boxes and do new doors. I like the warmer wood tone.

if you're doing an island, then get a diff color. no need to do the same wood stain.

do a white, cream, black, navy, whatever works.

however, post pics of the entire space so we can see what's going on. and show us where you're getting the new cabinets
