That looks nice. I’m concerned about the pumpkin rotting and spoiling it too soon. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Thanks Socks. I spray glued the moss onto the top of the pumpkin (versus cutting into pumpkin & coring hollow) & hot glued various succulents into moss area. Daily I’m spritzing with water; since it’s sitting outdoors & we’re in So Calif, where this week it’ll be in the high 90’s! The pumpkin should be fine thru Thanksgiving. Actually the succulents can be stuck back into the ground once I toss pumpkin & hopefully continue to grow

Thanks so much- excellent idea for a Thanksgiving centerpiece! I was hoping some of you might create one of these (& post pictures) so I can get some hot tips on how to create better looking pumpkins in the future!!

Oh, I see! For some reason I thought you had cut into the pumpkin. Very pretty, nice variety of succulents you had on hand.

So much easier than cutting & spooning out the insides of pumpkin! BTW your dog is adorable!

Ahhhh so cute Socks- I would have never thought to use a mini pumpkin- love it!

I did this a couple of years ago at our local Harvest fair and it lasted 9-10 months! The main thing is to look for a firm pumpkin with no nicks or soft spots.

The same goes for carving pumpkins. DH has been professionally carving for 30 years. He doesn't empty them and sprays them with Lysol to prevent the mold from starting. They can last anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months or more, depending on conditions.

I had my sisters, daughter, niece & grandson over this past weekend- here are their creations! Have fun

Forgot to mention... I have mine sitting atop table on outdoor patio- I mist mine each day with water to keep it fresh & last longer

Hot glue and a little dowel to hold things into place! (or a pencil, or a shish kabob skewer etc)
