Should I paint the brick? Attach the two porches and extend them?

No, don't paint the brick. Work on the landscaping to bring different colours in

Agree, don't paint brick. What is reason for two front doors? Are the steps on the right added on? I'd think of removing them.

I like attaching the 2 Porches. Is the gabble one an addition? It’s a very cute house.

You have a cute Tudor Revival cottage. Normally, I would say do not paint the brick, but I think doing so would take it out of the dark ages.

As for the front…remove the steps to the “porch”; no need for exterior access and concentrate on the front door, front steps and extending a deck on either side of entrance. Add a front walkway and landscaping and you have the perfect, sweet home.

No, I wouldnt paint the brick. Its a really cute house. What it really needs is a good landscaping plan. The landscaping is basically non existent. Also, there is no sidewalk to either door. That would maybe be the very first thing I would get done.

Brick isn't the issue. What's odd is both those sets of steps go into lawn, then ... nothing. Which way does the sidewalk run? where is your drive or road or garage? Will you define some of those points with wider walkways, shrubbery or flower borders?

As far a connecting the porches, I'd look to emphasize the main steps. Will you use the secondary steps at all, can you eliminate them entirely? It might be possible to develop a ground-level patio spanning the space between the two entries. Actually I can't really tell how the two porches relate to each other, more pictures would be helpful.

But I do like it! It's cute and clean and looks well crafted, with tons of potential! Have you lived in it long?

I'm a fan of painting brick. But if you really want to retain the brick in its original form, I'd consider eventually replacing the roof to a color that contrasts/coordinates. Right now it just looks blah all together.

The arch doorway was originally open and a porch. I would not paint and would restore open porch. Or. Remove steps and door and install windows. New front door and landscaping

I agree with Rehabit. Make the porches into one wide porch and remove the steps on the right. Then construct a nice wide sidewalk off the main steps that goes to the street or sidewalk or driveway.

I wouldn’t paint the brick, but I’d put a black roof on the house.
