I just bought a fiddle leaf fig tree. I don't have much experience with plants but I feel like the tree is deteriorating faster than I would have expected. I’ve had it for 3 weeks now and I’ve watered it twice so far and the leaves are turning more and more brown each day. The stems are also brown and getting worse. I read a bunch of things online but I’m confused on what the culprit might be. Can someone please help me figure out what’s wrong and how to fix it. Any advice will help. Thank you!

note: one leaf dropped so far, it was dried out. I put the tree in an area where it receives indirect sunlight. I used a humidity meter in the soil and meter reads humid to wet. I attached pictures.
