Whoa! Can't believe all the comments in favor of leaving the black appliances! In my eye, the black draws attention to the apps and away from your beautiful cabinets. I would definitely recommend changing them -now! If you don't want ss, go with a panel ready frig and match the front to the cabinets. And definitely get a 24" built-in depth so it does not stick out beyond the counter. You will be so much happier! ( I'm sure you asked the question because the room did not feel right for you)
Don't be afraid of ss, i've had it for years and love it! Here's what to do to keep it bright and shiny - put a little baby oil on a micro fiber cloth and put in a zip lock bag overnight, then wipe down the appliances. The oil shines the ss and leaves a slight film that greatly dimenishes fingerprints. (keep the cloth in the bag and you can continue using it for months - add a tad more baby oil as needed.) I told my cleaning lady to do this and she now uses it for all her other clients too. Try it - it works magic!
