We are going to redo our basement floor. We live in a raised ranch and use the basement as a playroom. It has a sliding door to the outside, baseboard heating And currently wall to wall carpeting. We’d like to put something down on the concrete slab so the floor isn’t so cold once we put finished flooring down like snap in tile. Since we have baseboard heating which we are keeping, we can’t build the floor up too high, we have just under two inches to build up the floor from the concrete to bottom of baseboard heaters, so was thinking to 1-make sure concrete floor is even, 2-place DRi core down on top of concrete, 3-place lock in tile on top of Dri core. Thoughts? Am I missing a step? Other ideas?
