Beautiful fall scene. Went to the Boone area last week during all the rain and the fall color was stunning. Our color is still a few weeks away.

Rain and wet is good for making the fall color pop, especially for drive by viewing. I am in the second week of the first dry spell of the year, right after the last hurricane came through. I am really liking this dry spell, perfect Indian Summer weather. This next week will be peak color for leaf peeping in Waynesville, Haywood County.

The light quality also has a great deal of effect on the color. I got some clear color today. I was surprised because there was a good wind blowing. Monet lives in vibrations that pass through my camera and shows up all the time.

More beauty! Love the tiny gazing balls! I’m in PNW and we just had first light frost last night. Our millions of maples are responding and the show is starting. Our local forecast is for night temps down to 28 this weekend so we’ll really see color then.
