The counter will be a walnut butcher block. The wine fridge is stainless. Thinking an oil rubbed bronze or brass pendant light.

I used the darkest grout I could get for my black tile, and it is much lighter than the sample, particularly if light shines on it. I actually thought the installer had used the wrong product, but apparently this is a thing. It looks gray next to the black tile.

Note - my floor looks like your original picture and that's with the charcoal grout

I was going to do the small herrinngbone like the one in the picture but now wondering if i should so the larger tiles and place them in the same herringbone pattern instead?

Im also thinking of a matte black herringbone tile backsplash with charcoal grout. i think i want to longer skinnier tiles because i think it will look more contemporary. i think if youre going for an old fashion / classic look you can go smaller. my two cents

I find black grout never stays black it always goes to the gray side over time so I would do charcoal to begin
