I purchased 2”x16”x8’ live edge slabs to construct kitchen countertops. I want these slabs to last many years.2 of the 16” slabs will be doweled and glued together with a cutout for a sink and a cooktop. My concern is keeping these slabs flat and true.i was thinking of cleating the bottoms with steel flat bars and pocket hole fasteners to the island carcass. Would this help keep the slab true over time? Feedback on proper way to achieve my goals would be appreciated
