What space is this off of ? Do you want to remove it? Or redo it ? If you don’t want to do so much work and prefer to keep the space and just update it What about a coffee / tea station?

so on the left you can see the edge of the front door. it is a 1.5 story house, so this area is in the entryway hallway underneath the stairs. If there's a more modern way to redo it, it would I'm sure add "value" down the line as many people would like the space for wine. It feels like an eye sore at the moment. Well I can see why you wouldn't like it - It's really not the best place for it, right at the front door. You could always drywall over the "bottle area" I would want a door on it and make it into some form of pantry, but it may be difficult getting a door on that space.

Agreed about the door. Will probably be difficult. I would try to remove the brown rack and work from there making some sort of coffee cafe area. So that it can remain a wine room down the line if you ever want to resell

It looks like a lovey wine rack, but if you don't drink, you have no need for it. You can either remove it, keep it, sell it, or budget wise, just paint it to match the wall color. It should fade away.

IMO painting it and keeping it will always look like an empty wine rack. I have seen some awesome uses for that space under the stairs.Is it just the wine storage you don’t like or the whole bar area.

I’m not a fan of it. Ideally I’d make it into storage as above. Second choice maybe a place for a stool or bench as it’s near the front door (not the whole thing just the taller part). failing all that I’d just drywall over it and make it a normal wall.
