It is a cane but not Lucerna. Probably a garden cultivar of coccinea which is fairly common.

Funny story about "Angel Wing" begonia. It was probably 1975 - 1976 when my wife brought home a cutting from her workplace (she was into some house plants then). I asked what is it. She said "Angel Wing" begonia. Wow, I never saw a begonia like this before. It was probably 1980 or so that I stopped at a small nursery near us and marveled at this tall, very distinct leaf begonia and asked the old man (probably in his 80's then) what is the name. He said it was an Angel Wing begonia. I bought it but knew I could not have two totally different begonias with the name "Angel Wing Begonia". It would be several more years before PCs became affordable and the internet was becoming a new frontier for a lot of people even though most were still at the dial-up stages back then. Anyhoo I found a few groups (Yahoo Begonia Group for one) that had some experts on begonias. The first begonia was in fact 'Corallina de Lucerna', often just called "Lucerna" - an oldie but goodie. The second one was 'Sophie Cecile' and often just called "Sophie". So many begonias that look alike but enough distinction to be different. My third begonia that I bought as "trout leaf begonia" turned out to be 'Medora'.

Search for "Cane Begonia" and then go to images - you will see a lot of variety i size, shape, and color.

Yeah so fun looking at begonias!!! I have a lot of them now. My biggest problem is the maurice amey! Always with powdery mildew i dont know why!!! I also have some rhizomatous ones but the leaves keep curling down :(
