New Quartz Countertop Sumdges/Streaks

We had Silestone Lusso quartz countertops installed 5 days ago. Since the island kitchen sink is not hooked up to plumbing, we haven't really even used this island countertop let alone the others besides the island itself. The countertop is starting to show streaks near the edges especially but thin ones in other spots. We have basically wiped down the countertop with water and soap and these marks still persist.

Has anyone had this experience? Were you able to resolve it through cleaning? Or through the warranty? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try acetone on a soft white cloth or paper towel please.

I just wanted to update everyone on my situation since there are so many helpful comments on this site. An excellent Silestone representative showed up to look at our countertop. She tried to get the marks off with everything the company endorses but couldn't. The guess is that some kind of straps holding the quartz on an A frame during delivery caused this. Silestone has approved the claim and we are getting a brand new island countertop. The service from Silestone and our fabricator/installer was more than we could ever expect and we are ecstatic that this is resolved.

Well nice to hear Silestone has changed their ways. In my columnist days, I documented how Silestone's we'll-sell-to-anybody policy hurt consumers.

We have Caeserstone, and I had smudges as well....all over! I think it was from the protective blue plastic they put over it while they were finishing the construction of our house. I used some acetone and a microfiber cloth, rinsed it well after, and dried it with another microfiber cloth. It looks perfect now!
