Thank you. Yes, I spent a good time on line, including Amazon, and still couldn’t find a solution. The link you shared is one I had found as well. Unfortunately it says the base is GU 24, not GU 35. I’ve purchased the one with the GU 24 base and it will not fit.

If you google the actual MLS13GU35 Amazon seems to have a compact flourescent with that base

Unscrew the cover housing the bulbs, unsnap the side tabs, replace the bulbs. i was only able to snap back on side tab, but the screw will secure the cover in place.

I purchased the GE REFRESH GU24 LED Bulb. fits fine in the gu35 socket in my panasonic bathroom vent.

I did as Ngoc Lamadrid suggested and that worked well. Probably an easier and cheaper solution than finding this rare gu35 base.

I work for a very large industrial supply company. Even we don’t sell these bulbs. I tried to help a friend locate them for the same fixture. They ended up replacing the fixture. The GU24s didn’t work for them.

I looked 7 different stores for this light for Panasonic bathroom fun (FV-08VQL6) and didn't find the same one but only GU24. They didn't fit. Fortunately, I found the right one MLS13GU35 from "build.com". I got them yesterday and they fit in the fun; althoug, they are slightly higher than original.

I just went through this myself with a Panasonic bath fan and found a locally-available solution.

As someone said in an earlier post, there isn't such a base as GU35. The original bulbs from my Panasonic EZ-Retrofit fan were MaxLite MLS13GU35, where GU means GU-24 and the "35" means 3500K color temperature. The Panasonic housing is designed to the exact tapered contour of that bulb's base.

Normal GU24 A19 LED bulbs will not fit with the reflector cover on, even if they plug in. I got two GU-24 to E26 adapters at the big box store and installed A15-size filament LED ceiling fan bulbs. They are smaller than A19 but put out 500 or 800 lumens (5.5 or 7 watts). Home Depot has them in 2700K, 3000K (which I prefer over 2700K), and 5000K with a color rendering index (CRI) of 90.

The fan's reflector housing is quite efficient with the clear filament bulbs. Two bulbs put out a LOT of light. They support dimming and are rated for enclosed fixtures. Lowes has similar under the GE Reveal brand. No idea on the longevity yet, but I'm optimistic. Also, Sylvania CF13EL mini spirals seemed to fit, but I can't remember if I tried putting the cover on.

I had same problem. I finally broke down and purchased this one from Lightexports LSE. It was expensive and had shipping costs. Hoping it works.

I ordered a 4 pack of bulbs from Amazon at about $5 apiece blissfully unaware of the GU24/GU35 issue until my bulbs arrived and I discovered they didn't fit. After a lot of online searching for a source for the GU35s that I might actually trust (or "modified GU24s with taper" as someone posted above), I found this blog. Decided to try Ngoc Lamadrid's approach and had success, but with the following modification. After removing the bulb cover, I unsnapped the side snaps for the socket assembly top (actually bottom when in the ceiling) as suggested, and successfully got the GU24 buibs in. I didn't like the results when snapping only one side back as suggested, which seemed unstable and maybe scary. So I centered the top piece exactly and lowered it straight down, then screwed in the rear screw, added back the reflective bulb cover then screwed that in place as well keeping everything the same on both sides. The result is a fully level symmetrical assembly held together nicely by the screws, but without either side snap snapped down, both "equally unsnapped." So, a big nod to Ngoc for her/his original idea, and perhaps a useful mod here for better stability. Agree with pauls234 that this seems a whole lot easier, and cheaper, than trying to find GU35s and/or replacing the unit.

I followed Werhat's suggestion:

I ordered both the converters and light bulbs on Amazon and installed today. Converters fit perfectly and by using the smaller A15 LEDs I had no problem closing everything. The lighting is great! Definitely a better option than trying to track down these specialty bulbs!

Same issue for me as everyone above. I have three Panasonic model FV-08-11VFL5. I took Werhat’s advice and went the adapter route to get me to a standard base. Adapter = Adamax model A2426E (Home Depot sku 1001859542). Bulbs = EcoSmart model # FG-04058; A15 medium base, 5W LED (Home Depot sku 1001886992). Thank you Werhat!!

Followed Weinreb's advice above. Ordered same parts from Amazon. Worked perfectly. No housing modifications needed.

The best replacement I've found is these on Amazon: Sunlite CFL Spiral 13 Watt, GU24 Base, 27K, 6 Pack https://www.amazon.com/Sunlite-Fluorescent-Standard-Household-Eqivilant/dp/B07QW3CPFD -- the base is tapered and fits in my bathroom fan light. The light is dimmer and warmer than the original bulbs, and it only seems to come in 6-packs, but at least I don't have to remove any parts of the fixture. I wasn't comfortable removing the plastic sleeves to make GU24s fit.

Just ordered two of these, they were packaged well and delivered in a short time, installed, and all is working perfectly! This is following up to my previous comment. It is now early 2024, at least two years since I installed the filament bulbs with adapters. I have had no need to mess with them. This has been a very good solution.

Thanks to all that posted here. Shout out to Werhat and Weinreb for the solution and the links. Inexpensive and painless fix to a very odd problem. Never liked CFL's and the mercury problem. LED's are sooo much better. If you were fortunate enough to find this thread, this IS the solution to the problem.

Glad I found this thread as very helpful. Same situation. I did buy some Feit GU24 60w/13w CFL 2700K model BPESL13T/GU24/2/HDRP at Home Depot 017801859751 two for $12.47

I also used above advice and got tome GU24 to A19 base adapters HD# 726843009412 $3.40 each, and some ecosmart led 60w HD # 819261022894 3pack for $12.98

Think the combo adapter with 'regular' bulbs is better long term, but just wanted to know if the CFL will fit?

I can fit the Feit GU24 A19 shape LED bulbs into the socket, but cannot get the reflector back on without modification. Are people modifying the reflector or simply not using it?

In the meantime, I used two adapt GU24 to E26 adapters (726843009412) to allow using two candelabra LED bulbs (HomeDepot Internet # 338655317 Model # 93130037) that were suitable for damp areas to avoid modification of the reflector. They were small enough to fit easily.
