Depending on what you want to do and how much work you are willing to take on. I would definitely repaint. Add molding/ wainscoting. A new and bigger , plainer rug Maybe new art. Something bigger. Definitely a new light. What else are you thinking of ?redoing?

I detect a bit of a country/western theme with a dash of tribal, and a rustic thread running through your ideabooks. Do you want to stick with that? Start by removing all the things you can carry in your two hands. Remove the lamps too. Take pix of the pared down room, load them on your computer and "X" out the items you're not attached to. We will assume anything not x'd out must stay, and we will start with those basics. If you have other appropriately themed items in your home that might fit in here, please photo and post them too.
