We just turned a living room coat closet into a functional addition to our kitchen. I do not know what will be stored on the counter or the shelves. I thought about a coffee/tea nook, but put the coffee pot there & didn't like the look. I have thought about the lower shelf holding my Kitchenaid stand mixer because it is so awesome, but it's hidden in a cupboard now. In any case I want to have some wiggle room with what is stored both under & on the shelves. There are 2 awesome reclaimed wood with clear wax finished shelves that are the width the the space 30". They are 11" deep & 1.75" thick. Our ceilings are 8'. Cabinet above fridge is approximately 36" above counter. Any help with placement for the shelves is greatly appreciated!
