It is etiolated = stretched, because of lack of light. Did you repot it by any chance? I can't tell what kind of soil it is in, but needs to be well draining. Pot needs to have drainage hole. Try not to handle by the leaves, looks like most leaves have farina - white powdery coating - rubbed off.

I almost never leave a succulent in the soil it came in, esp. if it is from a big box, drugstore, ikea etc. Always check a deco pot for a drainage hole, a must have. Search and read up in the archives here on three things: gritty mix (soil), light, and watering. Master those 3 and you're set. Enjoy.

It would be better if plant was potted in a well draining mix. They are often grown in peat or soil that has most of it, and that isn't best for plant. Get a bag of perlite, sift some, and mix with Cactus & Succulent soil, in 1:1 ratio. Expose plant to much more light (gradually if in low light for a while), maybe even consider some supplemental lighting. It should be much more compact and if you give it more light, it will be.

If the inner pot fits tightly into decorative pot, it may sweat and that isn't best. When watering, take pot with plant out, water and let drain any excess water before putting back. I would say at least 0.5hr or so.

Other than being etiolated (stretched out) from lack of light, it looks pretty good to me. It needs more light. Your decorative cachepot can be without any holes as long as you drain the plastic pot well when watering before returning it to the cachepot. Find a brighter spot for it and see if the new growth comes out more compact. Avoid direct sun. Or you could put it under grow lights.
