The pendents aren't going to give you much light, so I'd be sure to pick a ceiling fixture that gives you bright light so you have it when you need it. You can always put it on a dimmer.

Thanks. Yes, it is bright enough. I wasn’t sure if the gold in the pendant and silver/white in the flush mount will work together. Also, one is round the other pointy.

I'd keep looking. If the size of the fixture is 19" then the light portion of it must be only 6-7", which is an odd proportion. Try looking for a semi flush mount.

I feel like they aren’t quite right together. I second the keep up the search. Lighting is so hard!!

@N Kay The ceiling is 9' high. Can't have a decent chandelier. The pendants are for reading in bed. There will be enough light from the ceiling light about 2000 lumens. There aren't many interesting flush mounts.

• @calidesign Thanks. Yes the light portion is 6" but the whole gets lit when turned on. It sounded like the 19" is a diffuser. Other than that, do they go together? I ,like the pendants. Finding a flush mount has been hard.
