Transitional Kitchen Backsplash

We’re in the middle of a somewhat random kitchen remodel after jumping on a good situation for a townhouse in an area we have been eyeing for a while. Kitchen is basically an empty room after demo recently, the dining area is across the island from the main kitchen work area. Cabinets are being custom made and are going to be white (SW Snowbound) in a shaker style. Floors will be a darker brown most likely. Island color is yet to be decided, probably same as cabinets directly behind but I’m open. We recently picked out the quartzite countertop; the picture doesn’t do it justice but it has beautiful grey and blue tones. I narrowed down a few backsplash options for the only backsplash along the back wall; it’s about 17 feet long. Thoughts on these options? I want something that won’t be too unsafe from a resale standpoint, but I also don’t want a boring kitchen.

Current state of the kitchen: the columns in the above were demolished and ac ducts relocated. Walls will be a grey with some light beige undertones, a little less then a greige. Back upper cabinets will be to the ceiling and there will be a full depth refrigerator box in the corner. Backsplash will be roughly the length of that brown torn sheetrock area on the back wall.

Omgsh I love every single tile ( besides the hex one) I’d probably do the big picket with the herringbone by the stove top/ vent hood as an accent. But o my this is a tough choice

Someone recently posted a photo with a similar hexagon and they wanted to rip it out as soon as it was installed! The colors were a great match for the counters and cabinets, but that pattern with several colors turns VERY busy once it is installed. You might want to look for photos that have the same, or very similar, backsplashes to the ones you are considering, to make sure you like the overall effect once it is installed.

Style wise I like them all except the small hex. You should wait until your cabinets and counters are installed though, so that you get the backsplash colour right.

My favorite is the leaf pattern. I agree that the multicolored hex look like it would be super busy.

Yeah I think the multicolored hex is my least favorite, and agree that it’s probably going to be way to busy.

Any thoughts on blue islands?

I love a blue island. Blue is the prettiest thing especially kitchens. Love
