Home Decorating Lighting Design Dilemma

Foyer lighting help`

Hi Everyone, recently renovated a 100 year old colonial. Looking for a light fixture for this foyer area. The ceilings are a little bit over 9ft tall. Its right off a formal dining (need a fixture here as well) and living room. The door hardware is a crystal knob with polish nickel back. Love the idea of a flush/semi flush mount. I love a classic/timeless clean style.

I wouldn’t put a chandelier there, and I am not a lover of semi-flush mounts.

In your situation, add the length and width of the space for the proper size of the fixture.

I like the second one a lot…because it looks like it is floating because of the light reflected on the ceiling.

Don’t see why you can’t do a hanging light there. Maybe something along these lines

I, too, like the second one that JudyG Designs posted.
