Shelley a very sharp paring knife, alot of time and some hand cramping lol. it took me over a couple weeks to finish, working at it a couple rows at a time. I used to do some wine cork art a few years back so have been used to cutting cork....this was a rather huge project though! Thanks for the compliments!

decoenthusiaste - thank you! our next reno is our laundry room, which will have a nice big basin tub he can use with making wine. my husband has been banned from wine making in the kitchen after some years ago he broke one of those carboys FULL of red wine all over the floor (thankfully before we ever started any renos) and had to resort to drilling holes in the unfinished basement ceiling to get it to drain out from under cabinets, etc. we've been saving those empty wine bottles and carboys and looking forward to making space for him to be able to make wine again and store it in a beautiful setting. as soon as we get our bathroom reno finished we are onto the laundry room. very excited with this first step.
