Beth i cant get that lovely backsplash with the stone in it we are very limited in Canada and everything is either white grey or black or tan

just do the one tile. the square one if you like it.

or better yet, go look over at Tilebar for diff copper tiles. they have some nice ones. (see the link at the bottom of the page. here are 4 of them and I posted 4 others at the end. )

The random linear bar tile (that's the name of it) will look very busy once it's all together. it's also rather dated looking.

what you could try is something like this for a more modern look

or, get one solid color in the glass or the stone, or even the copper

I think this one looks better than the other linear bar tile you have. then you could do this vertically above your stove

Your stove space is too small to do a framed accent piece It's not going to look good.

Pick one tile for the entire backsplash.

christine, have you called Tilebar? I thought they shipped to Canada? (or they may ship freight to a carrier that will go to Can. are you really far away from the border? or do you have any friends or family in the US? they can be the middleman). A lot of tile on Tilebar are sold from other tile companies w/diff names (of the tile). Maybe if you showed it to one of your tile places, they could order it for you?

I'm just trying to find some better choices for you. I like the quartz you've picked and your hardware. I'm hoping to get you a nice tile splash that compliments both of them.

Haha ya i fell in love with that copper vertical one and found out not only was it discontinued it was also 388$ US funds per sq ft lol! So i had to choose something else. After visiting 8 tile places and all the big box stores this is what i found, i will check the link out.

With Covid the borders are closed and i wouldnt be able to get it either.

I know the borders from MI to Canada have been closed due to the pandemic. And if I remember correctly, Canada made that decision so I'm assuming all borders are closed.

I did this in a kitchen last year. It was tricky working with copper colors. We ended up doing glass colored tile with narrow multi color detail. The floor is large hex terra cotta.

I like the glass tile flo put up too. maybe you could do a black glass and some copper inserts.

or, if you really want something behind your stove, do the entire stove backsplash w/copper accent tiles (instead of framing out the glass bars)

they have slate tile everywhere (even in Canada ;) ) So you could try something like the slate tile, and inlay little copper glass tile accents (like they did w/these red ones)

Hey Christine - I’m still crazy about your rose pulls and copper faucets! You are INCREDIBLY fortunate to have Beth and Flo working so hard to find a backsplash that will compliment, rather than compete with, the classic look of your beautiful hardware choice. You can’t go wrong having such a great attitude when it comes to allowing either one of them to influence your design. I can’t wait to see the finished product!

I have spent hours on Aliexpress lol Beth I looked before but didn’t put the correct info but here goes...the copper mosaic and glass metal “line tile” are also featured but one is silver and I’ll start with that first. It was a new design ad any tike place I have shown they flip out and call it stunning and ask where I found it!

so, the you'll have to search for "copper tile accents" or " copper accent tile". yes, they are usually pricey.

the plaques will not work since they are hollow.

I like the scalloped or fish tail design. I like the picket (or arrow shape). the hex is ok too. some of the others are way too modern looking for your style cabinets. just keep that in mind.

I don't really care for the linear bars, but that's me.

You might want to look at Etsy and Ebay. Copper metal is an expensive material so not very budget friendly.
