I have had them for 5 years with no regrets or second thoughts about it. I really like the side opening feature.

lizzierobin- Wondering how you like your Bosch side swing ovens at this point? I've read that some notice the glass rattles when opening and closing the doors. Do you notice this on your ovens?

I use my ovens frequently and the doors are solidly built. No glass rattling. I really like the side opening doors. It’s easier to pull things out and I don’t miss reaching over the hot oven door.

I have the left hinge model. They bake well, but the cooling fans are super loud. They emit a high pitched whine about five minutes into pre-heating that stays constant throughout the whole bake cycle. It's hard to believe that Bosch considers this sound to be "normal" because it's quite irritating. I understand that modern electric ovens have loud fans - and yes, I can hear the fan- but the rumble of the fan is nothing compared to the annoying whine!

While I do not have the side hinge doors, I do have the Bosch double ovens. I do not hear a high-pitched whine when they preheat or later. Did they tell you it was normal?

Mine is the Benchmark HBLP651UC.

I had a technician from the appliance store come out and he said that the sound is "within the range of normal." I'm not sure I believe it, though - I've never heard an oven sound like this before.

I have the left hinge double wall ovens as well, got them in 2017. I have not experienced any high-pitched whine when the fans are on; I hope you get that resolved!

I ended up getting the right hinged double wall ovens. No high pitched whines either! Maybe video it and send to Bosch?

It's 2026 and I was glad to find all of these comments. I'm planning to get the Bosch Rt hinged double wall ovens for our planned new build kitchen. I am looking forward to the swing door and being able to get closer to the things I am putting in and out. I have mildly burnt myself on opening our regular front opening oven and reaching in on top of it...not nice.

I just baked pizza tonight, and being a side openning door, it was easy to pull the pizza out directly onto the cutting board.
