Beginner Induction Stovetop Help

I am in the very beginning stages of our kitchen/main floor remodel. We currently have a Samsung Gas Range slide in unit. With our remodel are are intending to have a separate wall oven and stove top. Layout wise it makes a lot of sense to put the stove top on our peninsula. I think we want to move to an induction stove top. I was thinking it would be safer for the kids, to not have a hot gas range on the peninsula, as well as cooler for the kitchen when cooking. I also love the idea of how much faster they are to boil water. Do you find people who move from gas to induction end up being glad they did or regretting it?

Also, I have been looking at different induction stove tops and the price range is incredible. Empava has several for under $1000. Are there known issues with this brand? Are there specific features I need to be looking for that I might not know about? I like the idea of not having physical knobs from an aesthetic point of view, is there any reason to get a unit with physical knobs? Are some brands better known for the glass holding up better (this is my main fear, that somehow we will shatter the top, I have no idea how much an issue this is realistically).

Thank you! And feedback or help would be appreciated. We have basically no knowledge outside of what I found with a few quick google searches.
