Two stage blowers have an additional turbine above the main anger that propelled the snow through the chute to discharge 20- 40' away . Usually you discharge slightly to the front and right . I start at the extreme left side of the lane or driveway and over lap my pass,s to the right till I get to the last pass which I direct the chute forward till the side walk area . Single stage blowers are usually small side walk or deck models that throw significantly less snow at lesser discharge distances . However are much lighter and maneuverable and very economical !
