You can get recliners made in 2 sizes to accomodate 2 different sized people but honestly that is as far as I would go for 2 chairs in what sounds like a small space . BTW lovseats are really just a really big chair with one arm rest too far away. Post a picture of the space and the chairs you like maybe you will get more help.

Of course you can. Function over form. I'd just find one that you love and fits you, Just find a color that works in the space. If your husband's is gray perhaps the same. Maybe you can find one that is from the same company. As long as the color works in your space it'll be great and look more interesting than just matchy.

There are sofa recliners Just don't get an overstuffed 'marshmallow' style recliner. They take up too much room and provide poor back support.

apple_pie_oder is right. That's what I did. 2 LaZboy recliners (mine swivels and rocks) sized for each of us and in the same fabric. Rather than a loveseat I got 2 small scale swivel chairs to place opposite the recliners.

I have two matching recliners in my living room, and I love them. Can I have a table in between the chairs with no light, plus a small table on each side of the recliners with a lamp on each?
