Don't be fooled. GE Appliances often sells nearly the same appliance under its multiple brands. For example, these are nearly identical (except for appearance e.g., handles) and range from $2450 to $4130:

• GE GWE23GYNFS 36 Inch Stainless Steel Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
• GE Profile PWE23KYNFS 36 Inch Stainless Steel Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
• Cafe CWE23SP2MS1 Matte Collection Series 36 Inch Stainless Steel Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
• Monogram ZWE23ESNSS Minimalist Series 36 Inch Stainless Steel Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
• Monogram ZWE23PSNSS Statement Series 36 Inch Stainless Steel Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Also, different products from the same brand can have vastly differing reliability: Appliance Brand Reliability Rankings

Thank you for the reliability rankings. That is very helpful. And to your point of cost, I guess when looking at the higher end appliances, style details are a determining factor in selection. Thanks!

That's the point. They're not "higher end", they're all the same! The Cafe at $2900 even looks virtually identical to the Monogram Statement at $4130!

Be aware that GE was sold to Haier, a Chinese company in 2016. So to use reviews older than 2017 would be a mistake.

Have you considered Jenn Aire. They are part of Whirlpool a US company.

Also be aware of quality from anything you consider. Nothing is made the same as years ago. Shop for features that fit your needs, not a specific brand. There are negative reviews for everything out there.

GE parted ways with its century-old Appliances business today, selling the unit to Haier for $5.6 billion. The final price is $200 million higher than originally announced to account for working capital in the business.
“The sale of GE Appliances is another step in the company’s portfolio transformation and its mission to become the world’s leading digital-industrial company,” GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt said in a statement.

The items may be assembled here but the parts are coming from China. It's the reason why it's so hard to get appliances delivered. No parts for assembly.

My Ferragamo wallet says Made in Italy, but it was assembled in China with parts that were cut from Italian leather.

We just finished an almost all-Monogram kitchen. Client, who is a professional recipe tester and an amazing home chef, loves them. The only appliances that are not Monogram are the Fisher-Paykel double drawer dishwasher and the Zephyr hood insert.

My intent was not to start a controversial discussion here. I was simply looking for recent reviews to get the most up to date information. I like the way the Monogram line looks, particularly with the newly designed pro handles - looks less clunky to me, and to reiterate, just trying to figure out if the performance of the appliances matches their good looks. Thanks everyone!

I ordered monogram for my new build and nothing but issues. Double oven doesn’t open and dishwasher does not work. Terrible customer service and they only repair not replace until they deem not fixable but they will try to fix for months. And all replacement parts are on back order. I’m very disappointed.

Sorry to hear that! I can only hope we have better luck as they’re already ordered. We did choose a Bosch dishwasher, though.

Gay Lacy—how has your last 18 months been with the GE monogram suite? Considering the same and curious as to your experience with them in a post-Covid manufacturing scenario? Have they performed well?

Lisa, I would say we have been mostly very pleased with the products we chose. One exception has been our French door fridge, which had door problems- one side was not hanging exactly square and was rubbing and squeaking. We had them out to try to repair 3 times, and they ordered parts to arrive before they came. It seems to have been (mostly) solved, though my husband says it’s a little out of square. That said, range is great, easy to clean, and advantium oven and regular oven have more bells and whistles than I’ve had time to figure out. Overall, we are pleased. But I do love my Bosch dishwasher!
