2021 Wolf Range Updates -- Any idea of timing?

I've seen the announcements that the 2021 Wolf dual-fuel ranges will have improved convection. We are committed to a Wolf 48" and ideally would like the 2021. Any info on when it'll be available?? We should move into our new home in late April, so I think it's cutting it really close unfortunately.

Looks fantastic! There is hope for me yet. I ordered our 36 DF last July also.

Just got word that our 36" DF has arrived at our dealer. Ordered last August. Seems like maybe the pace is picking up a bit? Knock on wood.

    Looks beautiful!

Ordered ours in Jan 22 from Ferguson (Dallas area) and was told October 22. Now we are being told Feb 23. That would be a year and a month.

My 48” DF (NG, griddle and charbroiler) was just dela again. Ordered in May 2021, now expected at the distributor in July (it was supposed to be today). i regret ordering Wolf at this point

We just ordered (June 1) and were told May 2023. I assume that means August 2023. Luckily, our designer bought three induction ranges in anticipated of the supply chain issues and we will be using a temp unit until ours arrives.

Why are people waiting so long for these ranges? What is the draw? Is there some capability that I'm missing that's better than alternatives? Or is it purely for the name plate?

Wolf were once somewhat well regarded but those days are long past. From a functional/performance stanpoint a Bluestar RNB is a much more capable and reliable range.

    What am I missing?

Because they want them. Enough is quite enough with your Wolf bashing. I opted for a Wolf range in my kitchen remodel that is nearly done. I wanted a Bluestar, but after using one in a showroom it was a hard pass. Chintzy feeling. Questionable build quality. It’s great that you love your Bluestar, but for christ’s sake, let people love Wolf too.

Been using our 48” DF range woth double griddle for 3 months now and it is incredible to use and look at. built like a tank. Use the double griddle almost daily. It’s well seasoned and haven’t removed the seasoning and don’t think iI will.

    "Because they want them."

Totally fine. I didn't say otherwise. I simply asked why. (and FWIW, our two prior ranges were Wolf and we initially assumed our new house would have a Wolf but that quickly changed when we bagan researching.)

For instance, from a functionality/performance standpoint the burners lack power and are much more uneven than BS and other ranges. The broiler is weaker.

What makes people pay so much money and wait so long?

What makes people pay so much money and wait so long?

Again, for the cheap seats in the back…

Because they want one. Period. Done. The end. Move on.

TBH if I knew it was going to be sixty weeks instead of the sixteen weeks I was quoted, I would have made a different choice

I am going to order soon, I am aware of and ok with the wait, but curious if anyone is hearing anything about economic issues affecting timelines. ie, I suspect things will ease up a little, if people hold off on purchasing high-ticket items, but I'm not entirely sure what the delay is attributable to (a multitude of things, I'm sure).

Hey folks (not haters), we just ordered last week and received the following lead times (some good . . . some "trying"). 30" SubZero Refrigerator and 30" Freezer - June 2023; Two Subzero under-counter beverage centers - April 2023; 36" Induction Range - June 2023; 30" Convection Oven - October 2022; 30" Drop Down Microwave - November 2022; 30 Warming Drawer - October 2022; 24" Coffee System - October 2022; and Two 24" Cove Dishwashers - December 2022. Hoping the economic slowdown forecasted (which we are not rooting for) might improve those projected dates, but based on the experiences we had read about on this thread, we are not counting on it and we are prepared to be patient. We figure that one day, the wait will be behind us and any short term inconvenience will be long forgotten. For those also waiting . . . keep positive!

Posting this info on the remote chance it helps someone here in the Bay Area or SoCal.

Is anyone interested in our panel ready under-counter fridge/freezer unit (DEU2450CI/LH) or our 36” low profile stainless hood (PW362210) with 600 CFM remote blower (801640)? We ordered our appliances in September 2021 but because of a delay with our kitchen cabinets, our kitchen remodel got pushed to fall 2023.

I spoke to our salesperson and he’s willing to let someone else take delivery of our appliances. You can purchase one or more of these items at the current sales price. The under counter unit is scheduled to arrive in September of this year and our hood/blower is scheduled to arrive in October.

The store is located in Walnut Creek, but they can deliver anywhere in the Bay Area or you can pick-up from their warehouse. Alternatively, he may be able to arrange for delivery from SoCal since that's where they arrive from the factory before they're shipped to NorCal.

I don't have to pay any penalties for canceling these appliances and I won't lose any money for canceling. I'm just posting the offer here in case someone needs/wants their appliances sooner. I have another month or so to cancel.

Please PM me if you're interested, thanks.

please, please remember to include make up air in your exhaust hood ventillation system. the wolf gas ranges require super ventillation - not having make up air of some sort will defeat the exhaust ventillation and you will regret it. i used a passive air damper and it works fantastic.

Ordered Dec 2021. Estimate was Sept 2022 but would try to move up if possible. Then got great update in May 2022 - my allocation moved up to June 24 2022 delivery. June 30 update - sorry, no Wolf for you. Now back to September. Meanwhile, nowhere to cook since rest of kitchen update almost done and got rid of old range.

retailer Pacific Sales just pushed me back again ordered Dec 2021 and told Spring 2022 then July then pushed to mid Oct just pushed again to a few days before Thanksgiving have been life-long Wolf and SubZero user but this is testing my loyalty

We ordered and paid for a 48” dual fuel wolf range in July 2021. they told us 8 months. after 8 months we were toldit would be August 22, now theyre predicting April 2023. has anyone else had to wait 20 months assuming we get it next april? its our new home waiting to finish before we move in.

Sad to hear they still havent got their production line caught up! We ordered in January 2022 and were told spring of 2023, then as we checked the time frame was always moving out. As we were replacing a Viking that had set itself on fire, we decided to ditch Wolf. We got a Fisher Paykel that took 5 months and we are quite pleased with it. In the interim we did buy a Wolf toaster oven and it is fantastic- highly recommend!!

We ordered ours May, 2021...it's still not here yet. It's suppose to be here in two weeks. We were just at the appliance store. It changes all the time. I'll post here if I ever get it. Good luck to one and all. We're also waiting on a sub-zero ordered at the same time.

My Wolf 36 inch dual fuel, 30 inch speed oven, 30 inch steam oven were ordered the end of February 2022. I also have 27 inch sub zero drawers coming. They say maybe February of 2023. Ordered from Ferguson in Lenexa. Anyone else having any luck getting their appliances?

There is a light at the end of the tunnel. We ordered our large appliance package back in Nov. 2021, sub zero, wolf, cove, miele, electrolux, sharp, avallon & samsung. Everything with the exception of the sub zero columns and samsung french door fridge (laundry room) are in. This includes 2 undercounter sub zero items. I had my doubts, but it is happening, things are trickling in for everyone. I am optimistically hoping the quality has remained with these items.

My fingers are still crossed the sub zero columns come in Feb & March 2023 as promised, as were scheduled to be in the house by Dec. 1.

    Good luck to everyone!

Hurray, 1 year later. Wolf 30 inch Dual Fuel is here!!! In the year we waited we decided to upgrade. #Quartzite #DrawerMicrowave #WorthTheWait

We ordered Dec 2021, 48' dual fuel, 4 burners and double griddle (along with Sub Zero Pro, beverage center, Cove DW, etc). Wolf range delivery dates pushed back multiple times as noted in prior post.

Latest estimate was Thanksgiving but this week retailer said now scheduled for March 2023 as best case. The store offered us an alternative model, 6 burners but single griddle (not very useful griddle size in my opinion) to be delivered immediately.

If I could start all over I would go back to look at Wolf's competitors more closely (I liked Miele and Viking and La Cornue but didn't seriously consider because we have always been loyal to Wolf). My wife and I didn't want to start all over again or be without an oven for the holidays so took the single griddle. Very disappointed.

We ordered a 36" dual fuel, 4 burner + griddle (DF36450G/S/P) November 2021. Estimated delivery mid-October 2022 but actually arrived a few weeks early. A long wait but worth it. For those of you still waiting, hang in there--you'll be happy in the end. I'm completely smitten. The speed oven came in about 4 months.

Jeff - We ordered Wolf/Sub Zero appliances in April 2022. It has been complete silence from the retailer with the exception of finally getting the initial delivery estimates after several attempts in August. I am wondering about the experiences of others. Have your retailers updated you on delivery dates. Has your retailer been proactive in trying to expedite the process and keep you informed?

    last modified: 2 years ago

No. I regularly called the retailer and they were very nice in providing updates when I contacted them.

At Pacific Sales, definitely no updates I unless I pressed over and over. I had to call the sales guy 4 times or more for him to finally call me back and grudgingly give me an update. He would say that it is no fun calling people with bad news.

Ordered February, 2022 and received October, 2022. Just in time for the holidays!!!

I love the pics of the 8 burner DF48 in your new kitchen.

Would you mind sharing the details of your countertops and backsplash as well?

Carter, not sure if you were asking me, but the backsplash unfortunately has been discontinued. The counter tops are Taj Majal.

I ordered a 48 inch range dual fuel with Griddle& grill Sept 2021. Last expected deliver date was Nov. Havent received an updated eta. I see some people in this thread ordered in 2022 and received their range this year. Does anyone know if its taking even longer for certain models ?

Dual fuel models are taking far longer than all gas. When I ordered my all gas in Oct 2021, it was in stock and ready to ship.

  • PRO

True, but even within dual fuel, I was told by my sales guy that Wolf is focusing on producing the most popular confirgurations. I ordered a DF dual griddle Dec 2021. In Nov 2022, I was told delivery was pushed out for fourth time, this time to March 2023. However, the retailer offered me a single wide griddle, which they said Wolf had just produced a bunch of. I was disappointed but took it.

So #AA might want to check with retailer to see if a different configuration is available that might be acceptable to them.

Happy to have mine for the holidays.

Sharing my experience to keep the hope alive for those checking this thread as I did—

I ordered a 36" dual fuel w/griddle on Jan 28, 2022, and was given an estimated ETA of November 2022. November passed and I was given a date of December 7th, which of course was not met. I could not get a new date from my unreliable sales rep. With one full year passing after I placed my order, I continued to pester him every week showing my frustration. However, I couldn't get a new date from him much less any answers. I decided to contact Wolf in February and talked to a product specialist who actually had some answers for me (i.e., the delay with the dual fuel models was due to a specific part not passing QA from a supplier and causing a long backup). She then put me in touch with the distributor. The distributor was able to give me my ETA, which was May, but then was able to push it up to March 7th. They could've made up the May date entirely to set my expectations really low, but nonetheless, I was happy to get a solid date in March. Fast forward, it was installed today and as others have said on this thread, it was worth the wait.
