one of my pups was bad a few months ago and put a good 3-5 inch chunk in one of my room archways in the house....looks like drywall to me but I'm not 100% sure ...house was built in 1956....note....house caught on fire in 2010 the bathroom directly acrost from this all the drywall was tested for asbestos and did not contain any...while I know it dont garuntee that this part don't i relly want to repair this without any other hazards..i already cleaned this not knowing it could contain asbestos...so I'm a a little worried
