How many years has this fan been venting into the attic? I think a few more months would be ok but I would not wait much longer.

It looks pretty darn old, so at least 8 years? (we just moved in). However, our new one is way more efficient at pulling out the moist air since we no longer have sweaty walls and ceiling

Sooner the better then but spring should be fine as I fully understand not wanting to open your roof in the winter.

I don't think there's adequate ventilation. We just have soffits throughout, but no ridge vent or roof vents in the area we're talking about. There's 2 roof vents in the garage area. Will start talking to our roofing company about work in spring.
