Houzz eccentricities and the cooking forum

Soooooo frustrating - a mix of my poor technical skills and houzz wonkiness...

I logged out of my account to log back in in a vain attempt to access messages on houzz. When I tried to log in my browser said there were too many redirects. If I accessed via email I could get in and comment on a thread. But if I tried to start a thread and had to choose a topic ‘Cooking’ was no longer an option. I finally emailed Houzz support who responded fairly promptly that there is no Cooking forum. ??

I already find the Houzz/Gardenweb layout hard to negotiate. I mean getting from one forum to another overly complex. But this is really overly labyrinthine....

HI there,

First - Apologies for the very confusing experience and the answer you received with regard to the cooking topic. (They were clearly confused too!) I agree, it can be frustrating when trying to post on a forum topic that was part of Gardenweb, since they are not always easily accessible through the Houzz interface.

I hope that we are able to make this a a bit smoother as we work on updates here.

In the meantime, a workaround that should work is to access the Cooking topic directly. https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/cooking

Once you are in that topic, you should be able to start a discussion there that will be tagged with that forum topic as well.

Emily - I'm trying to reach someone at Houzz....because I've had an issue on the forums today with another user and I could use some help. I did fill out that form, to have someone contact me, but....is that my only recourse, to wait to hear from someone?
