Thank you. I’m laughing because I didn’t know all pulls meant literally “all pulls.” I had no idea that pulls were better than knobs from an aging in place standpoint. my designer suggested knobs on the top cabinets because i will have a lot of cabinets all along one long wall.

Round knobs loosen up over time too, you just tighten them back up.

The Schaub Menlo Park is very nice. I used this round knob in chrome in one of my bathrooms. I just liked how it felt. Substantial and pretty.

I prefer knobs on doors and pulls on drawers. Some people prefer all pulls.

I have no idea how often any of them loosen up, but if your concern from the outset was wanting to avoid wonky squares, then I'd avoid the square bases just as well.

I have all pulls in my kitchen, but have of course had knobs in other places without any trouble. I have a coffee table, however, where even a knob with teeth to bite into the wood so that it won't turn wasn't enough! :))

Thanks @Sammy. Is this something I get for the cabinet/hardware installer or is it a DIY thing I do myself? There's a very good chance I'm going the all pulls route, but is this a good thing to use no matter what I end up doing?

It’s something you can easily do yourself, @Iris. It’s cheap enough that you should just buy a tube and try it on your current cabinets. I have a tube that I want to say I bought to use on a closet door knob—wait, actually, I believe that I used it on my glasses! Yep, sure did. The screw on one arm was falling out constantly...until I put some of this stuff on the threads.

Have you thought about crystal or glass (or acrylic😑) knobs? These are from Atlas, but there are hundreds more really stunning options if you’re so inclined. Btw, hopefully what Atlas Homewares isn’t spending on product photography it’s putting into the product quality.

I have square pulls and square knobs. If properly installed, the square knobs don’t get “wonky.”

Knobs4Less has tons. As does Build.com. You should be able to find something in the same finish with the same “feel”as your pulls. They’re very nice.

@Sammy I like the crystal knob look, but my husband doesn’t like it. : (

@Iris, all of us have to compromise with another person’s taste. Just make sure the projection of the pulls and knobs is enough for the person with the largest hands. Buy samples of anything you’re considering.

Maybe? Jeffrey Alexander Belcastel Chrome knob. Not as crisp as your pull though.

My current Lee Valley Hardware catalogue has an astounding array of knobs and pulls.

Page 3 to 118 .Various materials,various price points.They even have refrigerator pulls.

Used to also have casket handles,but I did not check this time.
