we got about the same ... down here in tecuseh ...

back in the day ... this was ma natures official declaration i was done for the season ... no matter what nice few days might be ahead .. until the real winter ...

as of this type of snow ... it was time, once it melts .. and it will this early ... to make sure everything was put away ... and time to focus on holidays etc ...

only to start getting manically depressed around mid january. .. to start gardening again ... lol ... and that was where the plans on the plant stand set in big time ...

Yep, snowing here! It's the big, heavy, gently falling flakes -- so pretty!

Oh goodness! Snow was the last thing I thought of when I read the subject of this thread lol! I thought maybe you got your seed order or something!

It does look very pretty, but it is prettier in your yard than mine lol. I'm not ready for snow yet. It was almost 60 degrees here yesterday. And I KNOW that's just not right, not for New England in late November, but I have to say it's nice.

Your photo makes me want to replace the red twig dogwood I lost. It's so lovely in the snow!

    :)

Not yet. The incoming diagnosis is two degrees warm for the frozen stuff. My elevation can play tricks on the prognosticators though. I'm waiting for a good snow to squash things a bit more before I chop the remnants down and let the winter Under Garden out to play.

So glad you are excited by it! I could have written Dee's comment "Oh goodness! Snow was the last thing I thought of when I read the subject of this thread lol! I thought maybe you got your seed order or something!"

It is supposed to start here this afternoon but apparently I will wake up to about 8" of the stuff!

This was our 1st snow from the end of October (outside Boston MA)

It is very pretty and glad you have it and not me. We haven't had our 1st frost yet. Usually we get that by Oct 30. We get a couple of snows every winter in North GA, they are pretty and last 2 or 3 days. That is enough for me. I am still fighting with the leaves, roses, mums, and pansies are blooming.

We've had it for weeks already, but what do you expect from zone 1 haha.

Zone 1? I do love cold weather after having spend a childhood sweating from every single pore of my body simultaneously, but zone 1 is the stuff legends are made of. Vvall, the legend!

Wow Vv i’m not ready for ‘all that’ yet🥴

Pretty view -- if that's your little barn/shed, it ought to be painted the same color as the red-twig dogwood, IMHO! Now there would be a view, lol.

Zone 1???? OMG, I agree with Deanna - Vvall the Legend, lol! Where do you live, the Arctic circle? You are definitely a braver soul than I!

Well, NC beat us all the way up here for first snowfall! But, I'll bet we beat you for the number of power outages already this fall--thank you, wind. Joy joy joy...

I got all new poles and wire about ten years ago and the tree killers have been through the easement twice - every ten years. This year has been low on evil winds which is nice and unusual.

Vv I couldn’t imagine...That is just too cold!!

Wow -- Zone 1b -- Yikes!! I do believe you have the distinction of being the poster living in the coldest zone.

So far we've had less snow and rain than usual here in the Chicago area.

This is a shot we took after our first snow back in October. So pretty!

The water here always delays our seasons. Our spring is always later than our immediate surroundings, and in fall our low temperatures never dip quite as low as places even just a few minutes away. We finally got our first dusting last night.

Looks nice.... in other people's gardens ;)

We also got a bit last week here in NE Pa. Hopefully if it gets cold it will stay that way for a few weeks (like maybe having winter in January?) rather than a rollercoaster of warm spells and then a freezing April.
