Engineered stone (quartz) is a proven product like Corian. Quartzite has a demon side and a good side so you'd better test and pick wisely. Porcelain (sintered) is fine as long as you do everything Roberto Colonatti says in his fabrication manual.

Thank you so much .

I’m based in Los Angeles and all the quartz showroom that I have seen are white and grey veins and it just looks manufactured and nothing amazing .

There are great slab showrooms in the Sunland, Simi Valley and north Van Nuys areas. I went to nearly every single one when remodeling my kitchen and I'll list the ones that I liked, had a good variety of nice looking slabs and had helpful sales people:

- Modul Marble, 8861 San Fernando Road (I bought 7 slabs from them for 3 different projects)

- Marble Unlimited, 14554 Keswick Street, Van Nuys (didn't end up buying here, but they were very helpful and knowledgeable).

There was one showroom that does more advertising and is more known, but the salespeople were like used car salesmen, a bit rude and didn't really know their products.

The rest of the showrooms around LA were ok and much smaller, but if you just go to the 2 I listed you will get a great selection and good quality.

Thank you so much for taking the time and replying back, much appreciated 🙏 I will definitely go to the ones you suggested .
