Door from garage to house cost

Hi there,

I live in a townhouse and I'm looking to have a door installed from my garage into my house. There is an existing closet that I could potentially convert. I'm outside Toronto - what is the going rate for this type of thing. It might involve needing a steel header, I'm not sure - we would have to open up some drywall....

This is very dependent on prices in your area. You'll need a fire rated door for sure. Are you saying there is a door from the closet into the house?

The current closet was built into the garage- it’s back wall. I would like to remove the closet and just make it an entry door .
