Found this Melogold at the local Asian market. Really tasty. A good hybrid of pummelo and grapefruit and combines some of the best features of both, in my opinion. There's a pummelo sweetness and juiciness, but also has just a bit of acidity to keep it zesty and interesting. Thinner rind than Oroblanco, although I've read it's a sibling of Oroblanco. In taste tests it came in a very close second to 'Oroblanco'. I like to section it and remove most of the membranes. It's a bit pricey, but just an occasional extravagance, so no big deal. Most citrus enthusiasts should relish this fruit.
