Thanks! I don’t have enough space to do inside mount. Also - good point on the nightstands (we just moved that’s why room looks so bare). question on the nightstands, if I move them in front of the window, they will be out of reach from the bed. Am I thinking about that correctly?

You don’t have room for in-mount in general or romans? Can you do an in mounted roller with curtains for decor? Re the rug I agree. Pull it out. Re the tables I would push them towards the bed so they don’t block the windows rather than having them out of reach

Somehow the vertical trim is in conflict with the curves of your headboard. Consider upholstering the space between the wide vertical trim pieces and using that as your "headboard." Here's a solution for the bedside tables too. They're centered with the window and a small acrylic table sits closer to the bed for your stuff. For the photo, the stuff was a bouquet! As for window treatments, I have enjoyed fabric roller shades in the past that matched the fabric on my sofa. You might do the same with the upholstery and the window treatment in the same material.

I don't know what the rest of your home looks like and would need to understand how things fit together, but I feel like the crown molding and trim were overdone in this room. I would be tempted to remove the vertical trim on the wall and in the corners and remove the lower portion of the crown.

Something closer to this in scale.

Beautiful room. I agree with Roman shades idea and adjusting the rug but disagree with removing the vertical trim. Place the side tables in alignment with the edge of the vertices trim closest to the bed and add lamps with a curve that complements the curve of the headboard. The problem I see is the color of fabric on headboard clashes with everything else. Tie that color into the Roman shade color so it doesn’t seem so obviously different.

I would do an outside mount Roman shade on your window. You could also hang draperies with the top edge at the bottom of the molding above your windows. If they need to be a non standard size, you can either have them hemmed by a seamstress or dry cleaning establishment that does alterations or use iron on hem tape.

Correction: Hang the draperies from the bottom of the top most piece of molding in your crown trim. The rod will be on the flat stock.

Just another option to consider. I do think the rug for the room is undersized and removing the white trim on the headwall will avoid the conflict with the shape of the bed you have selected.

Here is a bedroom with a similar style bed that was styled very nicely.

I would get nice coverlet, some decorative pillows, bamboo blinds and stationary drape panels.

Why not attempt using roman shades for the windows and consider getting a bigger rug for under the bed.
