It's a goldenrod obviously. Not sure which one. I went through them all, and the species that looks closest to me is S. petiolaris, except the recurved phyllaries on petiolaris are very distinct, and even with the blurry picture, it looks like they are smooth, on this plant, but not sure because it is blurry.

way back when at university I got drummend into me that you need to check whether the plant is undisturbed. if a perennial or annual has been cut down, the new growth is not as typical ( also with woody species) re foliage and/or plant size

apart from that the second pic is rather useless due to its angle.
