Here's what I do when I can't find a plaque I like: I buy one already made that's got a flat front. Then I paint it with my own design to fit in with my decor - great DYI project!!!!

Install an exterior wall light on the front facing wall (above the railing) to draw attention to the walkway. Match existing lights or replace all lights so they are the same style. If you do replace, you could use a larger size by the garage door.
3 recessed lights spaced along the short wall perpendicular to your door would be welcoming all times of the day.
Seasonal wreaths also provide color and interest.

May we see then entire front of the house, so we can brainstorm what is possible for overall improved curb appeal that focuses on the corridor.

I'd consider enclosing the roof and bringing that door closer. Might not be possible - need to see more of the house.

- Add a wreath, large mat and a lantern/planter, etc to draw the eye to the entrance and walkway won’t feel as long

- could add a bench and some potted plants and include a tall one near meter so it’s not as prominent

There are different treatments you could do on the cement and it would make a big difference. If interested, there are all kinds of tutorials on line.

I’d add planters, and maybe a few by that window too, a wreath, a larger door mat, in a warmer color. Those are quick things you could do.
For a bit more diy, making the walkway brick would look nice, also change the front lantern to something more dramatic.

You’d need a pro to weigh in and check everything in person. But I’d possibly I’d bring the door out as much I can. I can’t really see the whole house so if you can add more pics that’d be awesome. But anyways i love the brick pavers idea. Painting the house is definitely great too. And the door and paint. I’m wondering if when moving the door out we can add a small porch for entry with a little portico...

Along the same lines as Maureen's last suggestion, you could explore resurfacing some of the concrete to make a path withing a path. And greenery could make a real difference.

I like the idea of pavers to show the way along with 3 or 4 lights on the walkway wall. With the lights, be sure that you use the same style and make the one by the front door much bigger to show "come this way." You could use a colored paver and start out with a narrower swath in the middle of the pathway and increase the width of just those pavers to have it go from one side of the entrance to the other side right at the door.

I agree with moving or hiding the utlities. Call them, they might move them for you. They do not belong on the front of the house. Otherwise, hide them some way.

Be careful using potted plants, check how wide a pathway should be and don't encroach on that. You could hang a planter above everyone's head on the wall.
